I'm in the process of making a number of changes to the Travel Photography Guru site.

User Experience
A number of these changes will be cosmetic with the aim of presenting the variety of articles, photos and information in a more visually interesting manner. I want to enhance user experience to make visiting this site worthwhile. I do value your time and greatly appreciate the fact that many of you return to the site on a regular (i.e. daily) basis. This is the main reason I do what I do.

Workshops and Photo Tours
Over coming weeks a series of new workshops and photo tours will be announced. I know these will appeal to many of you and I've worked hard to make them fun and informative experiences. There's nothing better than following your passion with a group of like-minded individuals.

Daily Blog Structure
I've decided to alter the structure of my blogs in line with the following schedule:

  • Monday Opinion Piece

  • Tuesday Tech Talk

  • Wednesday Landscape Meditations

  • Thursday People and Portraits

  • Friday Photo of the Week

  • Saturday Exploration and Fun

  • Sunday Spirituality and Devotion

The aim of this new structure is to provide as much diversity in imagery and thoughts as I can during the average week. I really think there'll be something for everyone. I sincerely believe that, to be a great travel photographer, its important to be able to both experience and photograph a wide range of subject matter.

I hope the content on this site will help intrepid and armchair travellers alike on their own life's journey.

The photo at the top of this post shows me, at the top left of the group, climbing up a hilltop on the Antarctic continent in November, 2010. It was hard working, as the snow was very soft and deep. But the trip down, slidding on my backside, was great fun. Thanks to me friend Forrest Brown for the photo.
