Baron Wolman - The Rolling Stone Years - Exhibition
Baron Wolman was Rolling Stone magazine's first staff photographer. There's a small, but interesting exhibition of his work in Melbourne, Australia which I attended last week. I also book the book associated with the exhibition. It's $50 and, to my mind, good value.
Photos of Johnny Cash, George Harrison, Janis Joplin, Mick Jagger and a classic image of Jimmy Hendrix are included in the exhibition. The exhibition includes both color and black and white images printed on inkjet and tradition silver gelatin (black-and-white) papers. Here's a link to the show.
I'd like to extend an invitation to all of you who live in the Melbourne area to meet me for a look at the exhibition and then, for anyone who has time, a coffee afterwards. Details are as follows:

Any further excursion/s, from 3:45pm onwards, will be decided by the attendees on the day

So pleases send me a message, via the Contact Me panel on the right side of this page. Just leave your name, email and, in the Subject field, type the words Baron Wolman.
I hope to see some of you this coming Sunday, October 2nd from 3pm. If you can't make it on the day the exhibition continues until Sunday 23rd October 2011.
I plan to organise similar events, probably on a monthly basis, into the future.
