Greenland Photography Collection Updated
Can I share some great news with you? I’ve just made a substantial update to my Greenland Photography Collection. Centered on the town of Ilulissat and the Eqi Glacier in Western Greenland this series of images showcases the spectacular wild beauty of the region while commenting on our sometimes uneasy co-existance with nature on the edge of the wild.
What To Expect
Grand landscapes, intimate nature and wildlife studies and documentary images are showcased within this collection. I do hope you enjoy it. More images will be added over time. For now enjoy the following:
- the flow of the series, from image to image
- the sheer scale of the landscape
- the quiet beauty of the light as it caresses the land
- the color of the ice and of the midnight sun
- the textures, shapes and tonalities explored in the black and white renderings
Always Looking Ahead
The lines of that classic Aussie rock and roll song are, very much, a metaphor for a trip to Greenland. It’s a very long way from this part of the world. I do hope to return, perhaps as part of a longer photography expedition that would include the following countries:
- Norway
- Faroe Islands
- Iceland
- Greenland
In the meantime I’II be continuing to top up this photography collection, in addition to all the other ones on this site over coming months. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I love sharing them with you.
All I ask is that you share the joy with others. I’ve included some social media links directly below this post to enable you to do so. There’s so many more great images I plan to share with you over coming days and weeks. I can hardly wait. Enjoy the ride!
